Join Us

The Society of Construction Contract Practitioners has two membership types: General and Panel.

As a member, you become part of a society that emphasises collegiality, provides information sharing, problem-solving and best practice, and fosters contract administration excellence.

General membership is open to anyone interested in joining our community of passionate contract administration practitioners.

Panel membership is for general members who are already general members and are prepared to be evaluated for a position on our Independent Certifier Panel.

Panel Members

Panel membership of the SCCP is for experienced contract specialists with a proven background in the role of Engineer to Contract (within NZS391X forms of contract), who can also act in the role of Independent Certifier (within the NZS3910:2023 form of contract).

Members are committed to impartiality, integrity, proactivity, and firm but fair decision-making, have demonstratable soft skills, and collaborate with their peers for mutual raising of expertise.

Applicants are required to follow an application, evaluation, interview, and referee-checking process. Successful applicants join our searchable register of Independent Certifiers and Engineers to Contract.

Panel membership is $390 + GST (pro rata)

Codes of Conduct

All SCCP members commit to a Code of Ethics. Applicants for Panel membership also commit to a Code of Conduct. These codes reflect the call from industry for certifiers and administrators who practice with strong ethical behaviour, and act independently and impartially when making judgements and supervising processes.

The SCCP is a Technical Interest Group of Engineering New Zealand. Our financial year runs from 1 October to 30 September.
